Great 7 year old gift!! – My daughter got a Amazon gift card as a gift and picked out this camera to buy. She has gotten so much use out of it and loves that she can take her own pictures. She navigates the controls so easily with really little to no instruction.

Great for what it is, but don’t expect high quality – This camera was purchased for a toddler with a tendency to throw her toys or leave them lying around. We wanted something that would take real pictures and stand up to her abuse while she learns to value her things without spending a lot of money. We also needed it to be small enough for her hands. This camera fit the bill! The photo quality isn’t great, but most toddlers won’t take great pictures anyway, so that’s not a big deal. I do wish it went straight to photography mode when turning on instead of going to the menu since that makes it harder for a toddler to use. We have to start it for her every time; she can’t just get started on her own.

I thought, I’m sure it would be perfect for my 4 year old. No. It is tiny even for her. The controls are super complicated. She is figuring it out but for kids it should be more simple. The picture quality is good for the price I guess. It’s made of cheap plastic as well. It has held up for several months but that’s because my daughter rarely uses it. I would expect it wouldn’t last long under heavy use but that probably won’t happen because it is so small and complicated.
