Fun but Not Durable – These Poppers are a lot smaller than the ones I had growing up in the 70s with the metal poppers in the bottom. I bought this simple toy for my 7 and 9-year-olds to play with indoors in our big basement. They absolutely had a blast. They played it all weekend without any damage to the surroundings. Very simple to use and not destructive. The assembly was very easy but the only drawback was how quickly one of the six tiny balls provided was squished when stepped on. The ball’s shape can’t be restored.

Fun with Small Balls? – What I’d want to know ahead of buying this is that the pop mechanisms are quite loud, and the balls present a choking hazard to young kids. While the listing does show the measurements of the balls, they also include images which make them look far larger than they actually are. The cones are bendy, but I could see the handles breaking with relative ease. And the $18 list price, while better than most, isn’t the cheapest around.

Fun but doesn’t come in a toy box – It’s a good toy for the price but can’t give it as a gift because it comes in a brown box and looks like it’s a used toy

Good wholesome fun – Easy to put together and use. Fun to use just like the good ol days. It’s nice to play outside for once and pass the time for a bit getting some good exercise in. The shooter button does shoot out the ball sometimes with different, inconsistent strength, but that’s fine and adds more to the unpredictability of it.

Adults love these. – Adults really “catch on” to this activity. They are delighted at how high and far the balls go. Everyone wants a turn.

Kids loved them – Assembly consists of twisting the cone/nets onto the grip and you are good to go. Simple to use, just squeeze the trigger to launch a ball, add a tossing motion while doing so for extra distance. Catching you have to cradle the ball or it will just pop out. The balls are lightweight so we have played in the house just making sure to not be near the TV, nothing else would really be hurt by these. The popping mechanism is definitely the weak point so will be curious to see how long until one of them snaps.

Fun game for wide range of ages – Easy to screw on the catching part of the game to the launcher/handle and it seems secure. The trigger squeezes easily as well and my 4 year old grandson can do it without a problem. However, the concept of “just squeeze the trigger to launch” is much harder and he tries to help by flinging the whole thing upwards to basically throw the ball out himself instead of shooting it! But that’s all part of the fun. Older kids and their adults are going to be able to catch the balls and the younger are just going to have a great time shooting the balls everywhere. As stated by another reviewer, probably a good idea to buy a bag of ping pong balls because 8 is not going to be enough! I am a bit disappointed that the game doesn’t come with a carry/storage bag but I saw other reviews with pictures of storage in baskets and boxes and I discovered that, for now, the whole set fit perfectly in a 2 gallon zipper style plastic bag.
