Book can be used for variable ages – The book is thick and has many pages in it. The paper is thicker to make cutting easier. They are varying degrees of difficulty for the cutting. My second grade daughter can cut some of them. Her 3-year-old sister can cut some of them. The scissors included are nice as they are safety and cannot cut other things. However, they do not make for ease of cutting the 3-year-old and the 7-year-old will not use them. The 2-year-old is learning to cut with them and I feel they’re a good match for him. However, the pages in the book are not.

Great product – My son struggles with cutting so I got this for him. He got excited as soon as I showed him all the cool pages. He was especially excited to cut out the pizza and snake. He went from whining and begging not to cut things to doing 4 of these activities in one evening! I’m so happy with this product. We used a different pair of scissors because the plastic ones arent the best. They are good safe scissors for a younger child though.

The scissors cut well. They look not real but they cut the paper quite well! – Great for fine motor practice! The scissors cut well. They look not real but they cut the paper quite well! You probably don’t need to spend money on a packet but if you’re in a rush and don’t feel like making your own, it’s easy.

Great for fine motor skills – Bought for my 5 year old grandson to develop his fine motor skills. It’s a simple setup to cut on the line but he sometimes gets frustrated. Boys just develop slower I guess. He prefers I do the cutting and he puts the parts together. Still a good set for together time.

Pathetic Scissors but darling book – M & D you need to put in better scissors. These are awful! I got this for my 4 yr. old granddaughter who is in Preschool. They do not cut unless you can hold a certain way which is impossible. She gets very frustrated. My 6 yr old grandson tried them yesterday and said “Mimi, these don’t cut”. I even tried them. The picture book is adorable and the paper is sturdy when cutting out it rarely tears. I generally give M&D toys and activities a 5 across the board, which I have bought a lot throughout the years since my oldest grandson is now 14. I will be getting new scissors for her at the store.

My 3 year old loved it – We purchased this for our 3 year olds birthday. He was really excited to be able to use scissors like his big brother. It was easy to follow and well worth the money. Would recommend.
