Great for kids who love fire trucks. – I bought this puzzle for a child who is less than 2 1/2 years old. He enjoyed removing the pieces to hear the sounds. He immediately recognized the sound of the barking dog, meowing cat, the fire truck siren and the fire truck engine starting. The sounds for the other pieces needed to be explained or “taught”. For example, “that’s the sound of fire crackling” or “that’s the sound of water coming out of the fire hose.” But only once! After that, he announced “fire!” or “water!” when he removed those pieces. This puzzle is great for kids with parents/grandparents who will provide supervision. The puzzle does need to be stored with the pieces in place and it’s probably best if it is turned off after play time.
