Perfect product but second generation is inbred – •Growing up I remember receiving one of these as a gift. Like you would expect, my 6 year old self could not keep these guys alive. Amazingly after 20 years I decided to try it again. It worked perfectly. The babies hatched, grew up into adults, started having babies, the whole nine yards.

Like an ocean in my living room! – I recently purchased the Little Live Aqua Dragons – Deep Sea Habitat and I am absolutely thrilled with it. This adorable and educational toy allows my child to watch live Aqua Dragons hatch and grow right before their eyes.

Leaky – The brine shrimp themselves are great, and the tank is a decent concept. Ours started leaking from the bottom after about three weeks, though, and left a sludgy battery acid stain on the table. Ended up pouring the shrimp into a mason jar and trashing the tank.

Fun! – This is a cute little kit. Fun to last for oaths and memories to last a life time.

Imminent Death – Cute and fun. I’m an adult and I bought these for myself to put them on my desk at work. I followed the instructions specifically but they all died rather quickly. I tried several different ways and actually did quite a bit of research to get the best results.

Hold on before throwing away! – I’m hoping this review may help people who think theirs died or never grew because we had a surprising experience. Followed the directions to a T, and after 4 days, saw tons of white dots so I knew they hatched. I fed them since it had been 4 days and the directions say feed 2-3 days, and I put the bubbles in. The next day they were gone and I figured they died either from being “overfed” (even though I waited 4 days in between feeding) or from the bubbles. Unless I’m misunderstanding how to do the bubbles, you inevitably suck up water when you put it in and blow it back out, so I imagine it sucks up the little shrimp guys and probably kills them. That could be my bad though if I’m doing it wrong, I just don’t know how else to put the air bubbles in without inserting it into the water.

Caution! Tips over easily! – The tank detaches from the base and the whole think tips over very easily. I had to glue the tank to the base and then glue a wii stand to the bottom to keep it from tipping over.
