Better than the Sophie Giraffe and less expensive! – We tried both the Sophie Giraffe and the Lil Llama Dinosaur teethers. Both are durable silicone. My little one immediately put the head of the Lil Llama Dino in his mouth and started chomping away! The legs and tail are just as soft and durable. Compared to the Giraffe the legs are farther apart and chubbier so there’s not a concern of jamming the legs or head to the back of the throat like the Sophie Giraffe. (Unsolicited review)

Super cute! – This toy is super cute, it’s just like the giraffe but half the price. The rubber is high quality so I don’t have to worry about her chewing through it but soft enough it doesn’t hurt her gums. It has just a slight squeak that she things is funny. It is also easy to clean I just wipe it off. I do not submerge in water because of the opening but I am just fine with that. This would make a great baby shower gift.

My Grandson Loves It – I bought this for my little grandson, as my older grandson had the Sophie giraffe & my older daughter swore by it. This grandson’s mom is into llama decor for his room. He is only 3 months old but has already cut 2 teeth. So when I was browsing to get a Sophie, I saw Lil’ Llama. I was amazed that the reviews were even more favorable than for Sophie, so I bought it with no hesitation. Our little guy LOVES this llama. It seems to be his favorite teething toy. The only bad thing is that it squeaks, and my grand dog (a dachshund) loves squeaky toys, so when the baby is playing with it, the dog comes running & tries to share it.

Unicorn is too thick and bulky – I know this is meant to compete with the much more expensive Sophie giraffe teether. It seems the quality is just as good but the issue we had with the unicorn is it’s too bulky and stiff for my 5 month old to be interested in it. She won’t chew on this at all but still prefers her Sophie to most other teethers. The rubber is not as pliable and the legs and body are much thicker and too bulky to fit in her mouth and be manipulated by her little hands. The llama would probably be a better bet as it’s a similar size to Sophie. I’d maybe save the unicorn for older, bigger babies though.
