Surprisingly a very awesome gift – Purchased the LEGO Icons Orchid for my wife’s birthday. She is huge into having live flowers in the house as decorations. She initially turned her nose up at them because they obviously are not real. However, after the assembly was complete, she fell in love with them. Her exact comment was “Wow, quirky beauty without the maintenance required to keep it alive.” I agree with her, LEGOs, while trying to imitate the real things pull it off much better than a fake plant. Assembly was easy and took approximately 35-40 minutes. Build quality is good, pieces seem to be attached securely a lite tap or bump will not dislodge them easily. I am happy with the purchase and expect to purchase more as my wife really loves them and has now been looking for other LEGO plant variants.

Fun and super cute – I bought this Lego orchid for me but brought it to Thanksgiving dinner with the family as an activity to do. It was assembled by me and my 2 young adult nephew and niece. My nephew said we should assemble it Amazing Race style with one person giving instructions while the other two build. That made things more entertaining. Took us about an 1 hour 15 mins to build. Had to make some adjustments in the end so that the flowers faced one direction (my preference). It will be a showstopper in my office. Looking forward to the next project.
