Excellent build and theme for gift-giving – I loved LEGO as a kid and now that my daughter is old enough, she is really into LEGO as well. The new LEGO Friends is a great theme and the sets are really good. This was the first set she got. The build and playability of this set is great, so we have made this our standard go-to for birthday gifts for other friends. The price point is just right, too, actually. What makes this one good is the scooter, gems, and squirrel. I think we’ve gifted this set three times now already. We of course have other sets in the Friend serious, but this one is still the favorite!

A little complicated for a 5 year old. – My 5 yr old granddaughter assembled this after I got her started on the first couple of pieces. But it’s pretty complicated and takes longer than her attention span allowed. I helped her finish the last bit and then she did play with it for a little while before moving on to something else.
