Cool but delicate – As others have said, the drawing doesn’t show up nearly as brightly as in the product photos, but it’s decent. The battery drawer has a screw to lock it in place for kids’ safety. Everything works properly so far. But my daughter just got it tonight and already, within just a few hours, the soft plastic of the screen is deeply gouged (see photo). She didn’t even have any metal or anything to use on it. At least it still works so far, but the almost immediate and very easy damage is disappointing. It’s a neat toy but delicate.

Stroke victim helper – The tablets are very colorful. They allow for free play of expression & creativity. Mother-in-law suffered a stroke a couple of years back & we found these to help her draw, write & just simply doodle. One tablet is used to remind her what day it is & is easily changed to provide her info to help her through day. However, both tablets cracked in the same place where the stylus is kept.

Better than Whiteboards – As a Kindergarten teacher I have learned to HATE mini whiteboard and dry erase markers!!!! I have invested in a class set of these, some similar, and actual Boogie Board branded devices. These are probably my favorite out of the 3-4 types I have in my classroom (26 boards of varying brands).

Saves Paper – Impressive. This has so many uses. Kept my son busy occupied with it for a good amount of time. Great buy.

Nice inexpensive writing tablet – I actually bought this for my office to decrease the amount of scratch paper my staff was using to write notes. This set came with a case for each tablet and work just exactly how we need them too. They do feel a little flimsy and i am not sure if they will stand the test of time but we will see. We have a similar set we got for my kids and they love drawing on them as well. I honestly would prefer finding one that is a solid color instead of the color change but that is not a big issue. I would point out the lock switch only prevents the trash button from working but still will be able to draw while in the locked position, just fyi.
