Perfect starter car for kids who are hard on toys and have no patience for charging! – My 7 y/o son with autism is crazy about all things remote controlled and cars but he’s also VERY hard on toys and VERY impatient when it comes to rechargable batteries running out and needing to recharge. I purposefully wanted a cheap, disposable battery option for him since A) It likely wouldn’t last longer than 6 months anyway and B) he needs something that we can pop new batteries in and have it keep on running when the old ones die. Most cars with rechargable lithium ion batteries only give you about 20 minutes of play tops before needing to be recharged which can take hours just to get another 15-20 minutes. This is just a recipe for frustration in our house. If you have a big set of rechargeable AA’s then it’s not a problem with this car! Here’s what we love about it:
